This week has been nuts. I had the most upsetting/ridiculous/irritating conversation via AIM that I've ever had in my life (which resulted in the deletion of former 'friend' from all interweb applications). I'm trying to get everything together for my vacay to NYC, which is less than a WEEK away. We booked our hotel in Newark this morning, and I found fan-freakin-tastic 4th row seats to Chicago on Broadway for $66 apiece. I'm going to get to see my cousin and her hubby, and one of my best friends while in NYC.
I.
Cannot.
Wait.
Tonight was Artwalk downtown...it was pretty slow, at least compared to last month. I did have one lady that liked one of my photos. I've come to realize, though, that no matter how much I'd love to sell my work, just being able to have a studio to play in, and have people walk through and appreciate it all, is awesome.
Ok. Its way past my dinner time. I'm off to make breakfast for dinner (my favorite).
Its almost Friday!!

Etsy
Not only is etsy.com one of the coolest websites ever, but it is now cooler because I have my very own etsy store. I don't have a lot up there yet, but I do have some of my pottery pieces, and a few of my Dad's metalwork pieces. I'll be adding baby blankets, scarves, hats, photographs, and who knows what else in the next week or so.
Check out my store here. And be sure and browse the site, there is so much to look at. If you're looking for a one of a kind, handmade, unique gift. That's the place to get it. Just be sure and look at mine first. =)

why hello there
Well its only been 4 months this time.
What's been going on with me? Lets see:
1. New job. I had like 5, but now, I have 1.5. Which is great. Really great. And I have health insurance. And normal business hours. And less responsibility. And more pay. And fabulous coworkers. Did I mention how great it is? Because it is. Great.
2. A shortage of best friends. Two have left me so far this year. Another is leaving in May. Apparently its exodus time in Abilene, and I didn't get the memo. Oh right, my new job. My great job. Think I'll stick around, at least for a little while longer.
3. Kristie gave me her trampoline.
4. My art studio is really taking shape. The parents were down this weekend and helped me put up some shelves. It looks so much more professional now. Excitement! Now if I can just find a cheap pottery wheel. =)
5. Still doing the praise team thing at Beltway. I'm so glad to be involved with music and singing again. I just got a keyboard, and I'm trying to teach myself. We'll see.
6. I'm losing weight. For real this time. And I feel healthier already. And its apparently noticeable, which is nice.
I guess that's it for now. And I promise I'll be back soon.

far and away
Not that I have a blog following (at this point anyway), but I figured I'd use this place as an outlet. Its only been just over a year since I've last blogged. LOTS has happened since then, but I won't bore you with it. I'll just start fresh. Today.
Its winter in Texas (or at least that's what I'm hoping). Cold front blew in last night, and its a brisk 48 degrees this morning. That's pretty cold, compared to yesterday's 85. I'm glad. I'm looking forward to sweaters and scarves and hats and fireplaces and hot cocoa. Its my favorite time of year. Oh yes, and the football. Mostly the football.
Back later...

September 12 of 12
My actual blog is here but it wouldn't let me post the pictures how I wanted. So here we go...
This is the September edition of the 12 of 12. Check out this blog for the 411 and other 12 of 12'ers around the world.

8:20 am.
My morning routine: getting ready for work. Might look like a torture device, but its one of the best little wonders ever. No kidding.
3:30 pm
Here I am at job #2. Had the office to myself today. Got to play with a new program in photoshop called QuickMats. It pretty sweet.
8 pm
Taco Tuesday at Rosa's!
10:30 pm
Taking Roxie for a short walk.
10:33 pm
Checking the mail. Yep. Credit card application. I can hardly contain myself.
10:55 pm
Watching America's Funniest Home Videos. That Bob Saget, he's such a hunk. (hahahahha) Gotta have something a little wholesome after Nip/Tuck.

Float like a Caddilac, Sting like a Beemer. This is Kathleen. She's my baby.
8:55 am. On my way to work. Takes a whole 2 minutes to get there.
9:10 am.
Did someone say coffee?
This is the wall in our office. Quite a few hours went into this project. Built the wall, sheetrock, taped off, painted...Sigh. But, its awesome.
11:15 am
My messy office. Seriously, if everything was clean, I wouldn't be able to operate.

Taking my Nip/Tuck break with champagne and a smoke. Is it just me or is that show out of control this season? Dang...
